Bangladesh was supposed to play a five-match ODI series in Pakistan this May. But both teams decided to switch to a T20 series instead, focusing on preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Before going to Pakistan, Bangladesh will also play two T20 matches against the United Arab Emirates. The cricket boards of both countries have already had positive talks about this. To prepare for both series, a special training camp will be held for the players who are aiming to be part of the T20 squad.
A source from the BCB said the training camp is expected to begin on May 5 at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. The camp will likely run for 8 to 10 days.
Bangladesh is set to play the UAE in two matches on May 18 and 20. After that, they will travel to Pakistan for an away series starting late May. The first two matches are planned for May 25 and 27 in Faisalabad. The last three games will be held on May 30, June 1, and June 3.
