The second round of Duleep Trophy 2024 is being played between India-A and India-D in Anantapur from 12 September. During the second day’s play, India-D captain Shreyas Iyer took the wicket of Mayank Agarwal on the very first ball of his spell, the video of which is going viral on social media.

Shreyas Iyer bowled a slightly bouncy ball. Mayank Agarwal was shocked and played the ball straight into the bowler’s hands. Shreyas Iyer took a brilliant catch on his own ball. Shreyas’ celebration after taking Mayank Agarwal’s wicket was worth watching. Iyer gave his team a big success by breaking the 115-run partnership between Mayank Agarwal and Pratham Singh. Mayank Agarwal returned to the pavilion after scoring 56 runs in 87 balls with the help of 8 fours.

Golden Arm! Shreyas Iyer came on the attack and struck on the first ball and he took a brilliant low catch on his own ball and broke the opening partnership of 115 runs.

Shreyas Got Out On A Duck In The 1st Innings Against India-A

In the first innings of the match against India-A, Shreyas Iyer got out on a duck against Khaleel Ahmed after playing 7 balls. Apart from Devdutt Padikkal, no batsman could play a big innings. Devdutt played a brilliant innings of 92 runs in 124 balls. Due to the excellent bowling of India-A, India-D team was all out for 183 runs in the first innings. Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan took the maximum 3-3 wickets for India-A.

Talking about the match, India-A has scored 115 runs for the loss of one wicket in the second innings by the end of the second day and the team is leading by 222 runs.
