The team needed 232 runs to win against the Markhors. After the initial setback, Babar came out to bat early for the Stallions with the score at 13/1 in the fifth over.
After scoring 5 runs off 10 balls, Pakistan’s white-ball captain batted explosively in Dahani’s first over. After a dot at the start of the over, Babar hit boundaries to all parts of the field off the next five balls, sending the packed audience into a frenzy. He also showed his trademark backfoot punch and front-foot pull.

Despite the incredible start, Babar could not convert it into a big score and was dismissed after scoring 45 runs with the help of eight fours. His dismissal cost the Stallions heavily as the team went from 79-3 to being all out for 105 and lost the match by a huge margin of 126 runs.
