Hardik Pandya will captain Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025.
Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif suggested that if a biopic is made on Hardik Pandya, it should focus on his journey of overcoming severe criticism and making a strong comeback. Hardik faced a lot of criticism after leaving Gujarat Titans to join Mumbai Indians (MI) last season, where he took over the captaincy from five-time IPL champion Rohit Sharma.
Hardik had to face booing due to a misfield during the match played between Mumbai Indians and Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The former England captain and now the mentor of Delhi Capitals (DC) expressed surprise at Hardik being booed.
Mohammad Kaif praised Hardik Pandya

In a video posted on his social media, Kaif said that Hardik suffered mental stress and humiliation, which no player should have to face. However, he praised Hardik, saying that he did not succumb to the pressure and instead made a successful comeback fighting like a lion.
Mohammad Kaif has posted an emotional video on social media about Hardik Pandya. In this, he has narrated the story of Hardik’s comeback from mental torture and insult. Kaif has said that Hardik Pandya said that I did not want to show my tears to anyone. Otherwise people would have been happier and enjoyed a lot.
He moved forward with the pain in his heart. It was a bad journey. People booed. People even rejected him. Kaif further says that as a player I can tell that moving forward with disrespect and insult is the deepest wound. A player can never forget it, can never bear it.
