India Won’t Play Bilateral Matches with Pakistan Anymore

India

The tension between India and Pakistan has increased after a gunmen attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Both countries have exchanged strong warnings. In response, India has cancelled the ‘SAARC visa waiver’ program for Pakistani citizens. Pakistan is also holding a security meeting to discuss the issue.

This political conflict has affected cricket too. India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral series for a long time. Now, after the Kashmir incident, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has clearly stated that India will not play any future bilateral series with Pakistan.

In an interview with Indian media, Shukla said, “We support the victims of the attack and strongly condemn it. We will follow whatever decision our government makes.” He added, “We are not playing any bilateral series with Pakistan now or in the future.”

However, he confirmed that India will still face Pakistan in ICC tournaments.
