Sunil Gavaskar has given some suggestions regarding the remaining matches of IPL 2025
IPL 2025 was postponed for a week due to the border conflict between India and Pakistan, but now that a ceasefire has been announced, the tournament is set to resume on May 17. The first match after the suspension will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
However, now Sunil Gavaskar has given some suggestions regarding the remaining matches of IPL 2025. Former great Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has asked not to play loud music during matches and avoid cheerleaders.

Sunil Gavaskar said in a conversation with Sports Today, ‘There are some matches left, about 60 games or so have been done. I think it is 15 or 16 matches. I sincerely hope, because of what has happened and some families have lost their loved ones, I would like there to be no music. DJ should also not play in between overs.’
Only cricket is there in those families…
He further said, all this should not happen. Matches should be played. Spectators should be allowed to come. There should be a balanced tournament. There should be no dancing girls, nothing. Only cricket will be a good way to respect the feelings of the families who have lost their loved ones.
Earlier, Sunil Gavaskar supported the BCCI’s decision to halt IPL 2025. He said that given the situation in the country, there is no place for any kind of sport during this time. But now that the ceasefire has been announced, I think the tournament will resume.
