Both are expected to play the 2027 ODI World Cup. Rohit has recently expressed interest in representing India in the mega tournament, while Kohli, who averages around 58 in ODI cricket, is also expected to play in the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg said in a recent interview that Kohli and Rohit may play for the last time during the ODI series in Australia in October. He said that CA is preparing to give farewell to both of them for their remarkable contribution to international cricket.
According to IANS, Todd Greenberg said, this may be the last time Virat and Rohit Sharma are seen playing in our country. If this happens, who knows, it may not happen, but if it happens, we want to make sure that we give them a great farewell.
