Ronaldo Confirms Al-Nassr Chapter Has Ended

Cristiano Ronaldo hinted on Monday that he might leave Al Nassr, saying that a “chapter is over” just hours after the Saudi Pro League ended.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is now 40 years old, joined Al Nassr in 2022 after leaving Manchester United. His contract with the Saudi club ends this summer.

There will be a special transfer window from June 1 to June 10 for the 32 teams taking part in the Club World Cup to sign players.

Al-Nassr will not be part of the Club World Cup, unlike Al Hilal, another Saudi club.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino recently said that talks are ongoing about the possibility of Ronaldo playing in the expanded Club World Cup, which starts in the U.S. on June 14.

On social media, Ronaldo shared a photo in his Al Nassr jersey and wrote, “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”

Al Nassr lost in the Asian Champions League semi-finals last month to Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale and finished third in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo was the top scorer in the league with 24 goals.

Last year, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner said he might finish his career with Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s big rival, Lionel Messi, will play in the Club World Cup with Inter Miami.

In a recent interview with YouTuber IShowSpeed, Infantino said, “Ronaldo might also play for one of the teams at the Club World Cup. There are talks with some clubs, so if any club is interested in signing Ronaldo for the Club World Cup… who knows?”
