A strange scene was witnessed on the cricket field on the morning of the second day of the four-day second match against the South Africa Emerging Team. An unexpected incident occurred between Bangladesh batsman Ripon Mondal and South Africa’s Tipu Ntuli. The Proteas Emerging Team pacer went from verbally abusing the Bangladeshi batsman to a physical altercation at one point.
It was the 105th over of the Bangladesh innings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Ripon Mondal hit a six down the wicket off the first ball of the over bowled by Tipu Ntuli. Ntuli lost his temper after hitting a six.
When the two Bangladeshi batters, Mehedi and Ripon, were between the creases, Ntuli came forward to say something. Coming closer, Ntuli pushed Ripon forward amidst the heated exchange, and when he asked why, Ntuli became even angrier.

Losing his temper, Ntuni lunged at Ripon several more times, swinging his helmet at the umpire, which Ripon tried to block with his hand several times.
But Ntuli did not stop there. After removing his hand from the helmet, he kept saying something to Ripon by raising his finger. The two umpires and other cricketers then separated the two. However, Ntuli was still unable to control his temper. At one point, two more South African players came and started saying something to Ripon.
Bangladesh Emerging scored a big total in the first innings of this second four-day match against the South African Emerging team. The hosts were all out for 371 runs. It was Ntuli who finally took Ripon’s wicket. Ripon scored 43 runs off 81 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes before being dismissed by his ball.
The first Test of this series for the Emerging team was a draw. And after a fierce battle in the ODI series, Bangladesh kept the trophy at home.
