The race for the Premier League title is still open, with six teams fighting for the top spot. Meanwhile, three big clubs—Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham—are chasing titles in two UEFA competitions, even though they have struggled in their own league this season. Chelsea is still in the top six, but United and Tottenham are far behind, sitting near 15th place. Despite that, all three teams have booked their place in the finals after strong wins in the two European tournaments.
Man United Beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0

The English and Spanish teams played the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final. The home side suffered badly, going 3-0 down in the first half at Bilbao’s San Mamés stadium. United’s Brazilian midfielder Casemiro scored the first goal. After his goal in the 30th minute, Ruben Amorim’s team got a penalty in the 37th minute. Bilbao’s Dani Vivian was shown a red card for fouling Rasmus Højlund. Bruno Fernandes then made it 2-0 by scoring from the penalty spot.
Bilbao had to play the rest of the game with only 10 players. Just before halftime, they gave up a third goal, again scored by Portuguese star Fernandes. His second goal and United’s third goal almost confirmed the win. In the second half, both teams tried hard but couldn’t change the score. United will be even tougher to beat in the second leg at Old Trafford on May 9.
Spurs Win 3-1 Against Bodo/Glimt

Tottenham faced the Norwegian club at home in another Europa League semi-final. They moved closer to the final by winning the first leg. If they hold their lead in the second leg, the final might be an all-English clash between Tottenham and United. Brennan Johnson scored early, giving Tottenham the lead in the first minute. James Maddison added another goal in the 34th minute. Tottenham went into halftime ahead 2-0 against Glimt.
Tottenham scored again in the 61st minute when Dominic Solanke netted a penalty. This goal put the Spurs in a strong position for a big win. Gliwice’s Ulrik Saltnes scored in the 83rd minute to cut the lead, but it wasn’t enough. With this win, Tottenham moved closer to their dream of winning their first trophy since 2008. The second leg between the two teams will be played in Gliwice on May 9.
Chelsea 4:0 Djurgardens

Chelsea, the English football giants, easily defeated Sweden’s Djurgardens at the Three Arena in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League semi-finals. Nicholas Jackson was Chelsea’s top scorer with two goals, while Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke each added one. Chelsea controlled the game completely, not just in scoring but in overall play. The second leg will be held at Chelsea’s home ground, Stamford Bridge, on May 9.
