The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC), will be held in England from June 12 to July 5. The final of this tournament will be played on July 5 at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, London.

The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will be held at 7 prestigious stadiums in England – Lord’s, Old Trafford, Headingley, Edgbaston, Hampshire Bowl, The Oval and Bristol County Ground. The tournament will start on June 12 and will last for 24 days. A total of 33 matches will be played during this period.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah said, “Confirmation of the venues is an important milestone in the preparation for this historic tournament. This World Cup will not only bring the world’s best women players on one platform, but will also be a celebration of skill, spirit and sportsmanship. The cultural diversity of the United Kingdom has always given great support to all the teams. We remember the Women’s World Cup Final played at Lord’s in 2017, which set a milestone in the development of women’s cricket.”

“As we look ahead to the event, we are confident that exciting T20 cricket will not only entertain fans but will also set a great stage for the return of cricket to the Olympics 2028 (Los Angeles).”

Which teams have confirmed their place?

The 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six each. This will be followed by a knockout stage and then the final. New Zealand are the defending champions. They defeated Laura Wolvaardt’s South Africa by 32 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in October last year. India have not won this title yet. India played in the final against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2020.

So far, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka and England have confirmed their places for the upcoming tournament. The remaining teams will be selected in the qualifiers to be held next year.
