T20I: There is always extra excitement among the audience around the Super Over. There is a good reason for this. The fate of the match is decided in one over. As a result, the fate of the match changes here! But this time, a different incident happened in the Super Over. Which international cricket has never seen before.
The match between Bahrain and Hong Kong in the tri-nation series in Malaysia on Friday (March 14) ended in a Super Over. Bahrain folded without scoring a single run in the Super Over against Hong Kong. This is the first time such an incident has happened in international cricket in a Super Over.

Bahrain batted first in the Super Over. The Super Over bowled by Ehsan Khan started with a dot ball. They lost two wickets in a row in the two balls after the first ball was a dot. Babar Hayat was caught by Aamer Bin on the second ball. And Sohail Ahmed was caught by Nizakat Khan on the third ball.
As per ICC rules, the Super Over is played for two wickets. As a result, Bahrain were all out after losing two wickets in three balls.
Batting for one run, Hong Kong needed three balls to reach the winning mark. Babar bowled the first two balls of the innings as dots. He won the match by taking one run off the third ball.
While this is a new phenomenon in international T20s, it is not new in T20 leagues. There have been several instances of not scoring a run in a Super Over in T20 leagues.
In 2009, CJ de Villiers gave a Super Over maiden for South African team Eagles against Sussex in the Champions League. Moreover, Sunil Narine gave a Super Over maiden for Guyana Amazon against Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in the 2014 CPL.
